Arts administrators, directors, and creators will discuss the importance of artistic representation and presenting diverse stories that broaden audience horizons with creating “popular” art. Moderated by actor, educator, and activist, Ilasiea Gray.

Eric West’s Music for kids is a fun participatory music show for kids and families. With his guitar, banjo, and an antique trunk filled with unusual instruments, puppets, and dancing limberjacks, Eric gets the audience to sing and play along to his original and traditional songs. Many of his instruments are made by him, with several being made out of re-purposed junk.

Members of Cleo Parker Robinson’s Cleo II share the timeless magic of cultural storytelling through dance, music, and spoken word. Join us in celebrating the ways in which these wonderful stories honor our diversity and bring us together to strengthen our understanding and uplift community for all!
